I just go the email about the new version of Captivate 9...there was a link to go to but when I went to it, it said download a 30 day trial. As a monthly subscriber, how do you get updates? Honestly I think I assumed it updated automatically...however, I'm on a network at work. Anyone know how to update to the new version? (Also when I go to help in my version of Captivate, the update option is greyed out).

Thanks all!!

Tanya

I had this problem with the last update.  I followed the link to download the trial version then once it was installed, logged into my Adobe account and it detected I had a license. I've not had any issues since, and the option is no longer greyed out in subsequent releases – I’ve just updated to 9.0.2!

Hope that helps. (Maybe check you are signed into your Adobe account in Captivate before doing this too?  I’ve noticed I’m logged out sometimes, even though I’ll be logged in in other applications still… just hit login and it seems happy.)

Did you use Help, Update? Do you have Administrator rights and did you launch Captivate with the 'Run as Administrator' option? Since the subscription license is linked to your Adobe ID, logging in with your ID will have it recognized as a legal license. Captivate's updates never happen automatically, they are not included in the CC app (where you get warnings about updates) neither.

Yes I did, and under HELP, Updates is greyed out for some reason.
