Question

No action hotspot

I am building a rather high fidelity sim, where I have multiple hotspots on a screen, each leading to a different slide. Then I have a large hotspot covering the entire slide to catch any 'way off' clicks. I have this background hotspot's positive feedback using the failure caption style, so that it appears you did something wrong when you click somewhere erroneous and catch this large background hotspot. I have this hotspot set to 'No action'. It works great the first time I click it, but it does not work the second time I click it.

Do you know if a 'no action' hotspot disappears after use?

Thanks,

Leif

I didn't know which object's feedack would be triggered, but I figured out that the top hotspots feedback is that which will be used, so I think your idea will work.

    Hi Leif

Interesting approach there. My personal guess is that the Success feedback caption was never intended for repeated display. However, the Failure caption can be. So my question to you is this. Why not simply configure the failure caption for one of the click boxes? This way, ANY click would produce the same behavior. If your click box is configured for an infinite number of retries, the failure should appear an infinite number of times.

    Just a thought... Rick :)
