No persistant ClickBox?

It seems like Adobe is missing a really obvious widget, or at least they need to expose a missing property.

Why can't you select "rest of project" as the duration of a click box?  I just don't get that.  I can't be the only one in the world who’d like persistent jump buttons on every slide.  You'd just toss an image on the master, sprinkle with a couple of persistent click boxes on and voilà, instant menu!

Am I missing something or would that make a great 5 minute to create widget?  I'd pay 25$ for that today.

Don't get me started on why you can't attach actions to a highligh box...

Current versions of Captivate do not allow interactive objects such as click boxes and buttons to be set to Rest of Project or be placed on a Master Slide.

There is a Static button widget that ships with Captivate (called Button widget) that CAN do both of these things and will still allow you to configure it to execute most of the normal interactive object actions (though not all of them).

If you'd like more freedom in this area, by all means log an enhancement request with Adobe.  You never know your luck in the big city...

That works for the majority of my needs and got me searching for static button which turned up this gem:

Adobe did a buddy drop with a static button that pauses exactly 1/2 though every slide.  That's a edge case and the standard static button works great.  There are 75 slides and animation objects in this project and that saved me a ton of time.

    Thx!

Thanks for liking my blog! This static button widget is the way to go and I think you downloaded it from this blog post because the static button coming with Captivate 5.5 is not pausing at all. The Buttons widget that came with CP5 did pause.
