Question

No quiz - still need to send completion data.

In most of my lessons, I have a quiz at the end and a score of 80% in the Pass/Fail Options executes the Passing Grade Option, which is JavaScript code that sends data to another server so the user can print out a certificate of completion.

I now have a lesson with no quiz, but still need to send the data to print the certificate. I tried setting the Pass/Fail Option to 0% and have no quiz questions but that does not send the data.

Can I simply put a button on the last screen and set the On Success option to Execute JavaScript?

Thanks.

    Hi there

Normally for things like that you would indeed use a Button (or other clickable object) and turn on the tracking. You can assign points or whatever. The click on the object then counts as a correct answer and Captivate does its thing just as if it had been a quiz.

    Cheers... Rick

Can you explain "turn on tracking"? Is that the Reporting/Include in Quiz checkbox?

Yes, that is what Rick means. Maybe another possibility is to turn on Reporting, not use the Pass/Fail but the slide views to decide about completion. That is also possible in a SCO.
