Non-Animated Screen Captures are Moving

We've been running into an issue where slides with no playable animation visibile in the timeline are moving when the project is played. Most commonly this occurs with a screen capture where a button is shown in defualt state, then the slide ends with the button in hover state. (This button is part of the captured envirorment, not a part of Captivate itself.) There is no animation in the software simulation, but yet these keep irregularrly appearing. Any idea where it is coming from?

That's what I was thinking. I dug into the documentation and couldn't find anything on the recording end that would fix the issue.

Are there any tips I could give the guy doing the recording to minimize the amount of movement in the screen caps?

I would advise to take manual screenshots as well as the automatic ones with the shortcut key defined in the setup for Recording.

Documentation is sometimes bit underwhelming. BTW tell the guy also to minimize the need for FMR slides, because they can lead to issues when publishing. I always replace them with Video Demo slides.

Yeah, that happens in software simulations. During the sim you will have hovered over the button, and that resulted in that capture. It is sort of a very short FMR inside of the slide capture.  Take regularly manually static screenshots during the recording process, and you'll be able to replace that slide background by a static one. I suspect you are busy with a Demo mode? Never tried to use Video Demo instead?

Sadly we are locked into static slides so no video for these projects. We run in multimode Demo and Training.

Is there any way to disable the movement? I handle the editing of the courses, but someone else runs the screen captures and they aren't the most tech savy so I don't want to add to many more steps on there plate.

We found a workaround of limited slide length to essentially 0. Cuasing it to display the end of the slide as soon as it loads, but this is far from an ideal solution.
