Not able to retake questions

I think i'm on the verge of tears on this one.

I have my project set up so that it when a user takes a course, they answer questions throughout it.  At the end of the course, they get a certificate of competency.  If they get a qustions wrong during it, they get kicked back to an earlier slide and then retake the question.  This works fine for the first three questions however after that, if someone gets a question wrong they physically can't retake the question as the check boxes can't be selected (It's stuck on their last answers). 

I find this really strange given that the first three questions don't have this problem at all.

The settings that i have are as below:

I have set this up also in' All Questions Must be Answered' and 'The User Must Take this quiz to continue' as well but no joy.

Check the number of attempts you have allowed on the first three quiz questions, and compare with the later questions.

Also check the number of attempts allowed on the overall quiz.

Be aware that once you have answered a quiz question and then left that slide, you cannot answer or change the same quiz question again unless you reach the Quiz Results slide and click Retake Quiz, or else relaunch the lesson.

Hi Rod,

Thanks for coming back to me.

The first three questions have the exact same settings as the rest. 

I have in the quiz settings set up with "If failing grade" it allows for infinite reattempts.

Do you know why the first three questions would be working differently to the rest if you cannot effectively retake the questions until the end of the course?

No.  I don't know why the earlier questions work differently.  Are they also genuine quiz question types (e.g. True/False, Multi-choice, etc) or are they questions that you've created from scratch with interactive elements?

In theory, once you have answered a quiz question in Captivate and moved away from that slide, you should NOT be able to come back and change your answer, regardless of whether you got it correct or incorrect.
