OAM Fidelity & Performance in Captivate 9

Hello,

I have an animation in Edge Animate that renders fine in a browser when on its own. However, when added to Captivate 9 it doesn't run the same. It's missing functionality, and more worryingly, tends to lock up the browser (ironically, as Flash used to do). Computer is an i5 with 16 gigs of RAM, so it's not that I don't have the specs to handle even complex HTML5 stuff.

Anybody experienced anything similar or know of a workaround?

In case anyone else comes across this, the answer is found here: http://blog.gannon.tv/2014/01/03/how-to-include-third-party-libraries-in-oam-files/

OAM wasn't working well in Captivate because it was missing Javascript that Edge Animate doesn't (for some strange reason) automatically package together with the rest of the files in your working directory (JS folder). Use WinRAR or equivalent to manually add the missing JS back in, and then add to Captivate.

Hi Kevin.

Are you seeing this behaviour for a specific Edge Animate animation or any oam file? Also, which browser are you using? Is it a blank project or a responsive one?

If it is specific to an OAM file, could you share the file so that we can investigate at our end? You can upload it to some location and email the link to mdas@adobe.com

Thanks,
Mohana
