Object Style Manager

We have just loaded Captivate 2017 and are unable to access the Object Style Manager.  It is on the Themes menu as a selection, but won't load.  We were able to access it once and changed our default text boxes and buttons, saved them and then it "bombed out" and wouldn't load again.  Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have a lot of custom themes or are you just using the default themes?

To restore the default themes, you can delete the Layouts folder in the Public Documents while Captivate is closed. When restarting Captivate a fresh copy will be made from the original Layouts folder.

Hmmm, first time this pops up. Can you clean the Preferences? Look in the subfolder 'utils' under the installation folder and run the CleanPreferences... file appropriate for your OS.

Personally I never use it from the Themes menu, but from the Edit menu or with the shortcut SHIFT-F7. I suppose you tried those as well?

I am also having this same issue and it just recently started.  I tried the Clean Preferences, but that didn't allow for the Object Style Manager to work properly again.  Under Edit Preferences, I am no longer able to see the example style of each object and I am also not able to set any defaults as to Text Boxes, Highlight Boxes, etc.  When I select Restore Defaults, the whole system shuts down and closes, saying that it is looking for a solution.  Is there no other fix to be able to set Global Preferences for every project, or is the work around having to set the preferences each time an object is placed in a slide?
