Hello,
I am working on a project where I want the highlight box to show up at a certain point then dissappear. When I preview the slide the highlight box wont show up unless I put it at the beginning of the slide, but then it will show for the whole slide. This also happens with zoom boxes. They will only appear if I put them at the beginnin, but then will show for the whole slide. How can I fix this>

Please mention which version you are using (exact number). Is this a normal or a responsive project?If you mean by 'Preview slide' the option Play Slide, you have to know that this is NOT a preview at all, just meant for editing on the stage. Try to preview in Browser (F12) if your goal is SWF output or Preview HTML5 in Browser (F11) for HTML5 output if you are on a normal project.
Showing a screenshot of the Timeline panel could confirm the suspicion that you have an interactive object like a button pausing the timeline at a frame before the normal appearance of the highlight box or the zoom object. Learn about pause:
