There's a joke that if you want to learn to swear, learn golf. Captivate has just replaced golf!!

The number of annoyances and frustration points I have experienced just trying to create and edit my first simulation i beyond mind boggling.  Recording seems to be fine on initial review...although I caught one slide where the capture was about a couple frames late (telling me to click on something that belongs 1 or 2 frames later).

Here's the PARTIAL list:
1. Preferences pane that is wayyyy too minimalistic....you can hardly set anything up globally.

2. No copy/paste for most things. I used copy caption from one slide and paste onto another to save time in Classic. It copies over box size, color, and sometimes even position on the screen...a REAL TIMESAVER - no such thing in 12.6

3. No options (or not enough) on right-click (whether it's right click a slide, right click an element on the project screen...

4. No resize handles on caption frames...you can only resize width not height, not corners.

5. No adding a smart shape, no changing the shape of failure captions - these were my go to for directing a learner's eyes to where to click or what to emphasize.

6. Blink / Flicker do not work properly regardless how they are set up (delay, repeat, etc.)

That's all the time and agitation I was willing to spend on this. Thank you Adobe!! We are staying in Classic.

Sheldon Cooper presents, enjoy with Captivate! The programmers Adobe uses in this program must be apes pounding on a keyboard...

My Junior programmer has made with 3 JavaScripts gamification, modifiable menu and plugins that work better than the whole program... we are about to create our own at this rate...
