On captivate v9.0.0.223, the update is not available, why ?

    Hi ,

    It seems that the updates are being disabled by your administrator.

    Please close Captivate and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0

    There will be file by the name of AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat.

    Copy this file and paste it on your desktop, Now edit this file in notepad and change the value in suppressed tag to be 0 instead of 1.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

            

        <Preferences>

            

        <Suppressed>0</Suppressed>

            

        </Preferences>

    Now save the file and replace it back in the actual location.

    After that launch Captivate and you will see the update option enabled under help.

    HI, This is a full release & not an update to 9.0.0. So if you are on subscription you can download the trial build & use subscription Adobe Id to use Captivate 2017 release. Here is the latest blog on CP2017 - https://adobe.ly/2poVLzl
