On Questions & Question Pools

I created a quiz with 11 question pools and a total of 85 questions. Problem is, it freezes randomly while previewing it in Captivate.

I'm not sure if this is a reason but 12 questions are linked to a slide that shows either a figure or a graph; users can go back to slide through a button set to <go back to the last slide visited>. I placed these figures/graphs after the results slide.

Lastly, I was browsing the forum and found this thread. My question now is: is there a limit on the number of pools a quiz is supposed to have? Or the number of questions?

Thanks!

EDIT: I forgot to mention it's the submit button that's not working. On slides that have the link to the figure/graph, I can click it and still go back to the same question. I just cannot click the submit button.

Your freezing issue might be due to the settings you have configured for the Quiz.

Look at the settings for Quiz > Settings > Required.  Does it specify that the learner must answer each question or that they must get each question correct?  Do you have Backward Movement allowed in the Quiz?

Thank you Rod. Questions are set to optional. I have already hidden the playbar but followed your second tip. Still freezes.

I noticed though it usually freezes on those slides that have a button linked to the figures/graphs. I cannot remove these though nor am I able to insert onto the question slide itself because it will be too small.

If your audience is not intended to be using mobiles, why not just insert the figure or graph as a rollover image object on the relevant slides and then allow the learner to mouse over the hit area of the rollover object to temporarily see the image.  That way they do not leave the question slide in order to see it.
