Question

One PPT slide scales differently...

I am using Captivate 9.0.2.421 64 bit on Windows 7. I have a PPTx deck of around 40 slides that form the substrate of my Captivate 9 presentation.

All of the slides have an identical footer format as a result of the PPTx layout they all inherited. I've displayed the slides in Powerpoint and the footers are at the identical x,y coordinates on each slide.

Yet when the deck is imported into Captivate, there's a single slide that seems to have been scaled smaller than all the rest. The footer is more to the left than it is  normally and also higher than normal on the slide. It is as though something has forced Captivate to shrink the PPTx slide to fit onto the Captivate workspace. The scaling is visible both in when editing in Captivate and also when previewing.

I've tried manually reducing the size of the objects in PPTx and re-imported the slide but without any change in behaviour.

Project res is 1024 x 768. Retain slide quality is ticked. Jpeg is set to 80%.

This is not a biggie for me (but it is for the eagle-eyed quality assurers here!). So any suggestions for workarounds would be appreciated.

TIA.

Ian

I cannot help you with the question itself (never using PPT to start a CP project), but want to warn you that the version you are using is not the latest version, which is 9.0.2.437. There were bugs (forgot which ones) in the one you are using and which was available only a very short time.
