Online module crashes

Hi Folks

I had a captivate 7 package uploaded into my company's SABA and when testing it in the production environment, the online content crashes when trying it on IE or Chrome. Chrome popped up a message stating the shock wave flash crashed. This is the first time I have come across this issue and I'm hoping someone has an idea how to resolve this? I never had this problem before.

Regards

AJ

This issue could be due to an incompatibility between the course's published Flash Player version and those versions currently being used by your browsers.

Try updating the Flash Player plugin in your Chrome and IE browsers.  Note that updating the plugin in one browser does not necessarily effect the change for the other at the same time.

I had asked two other colleague's to test the online module either on IE or Chrome to rule out if it is a problem with my browser and they are also facing the same issue where the online module crashes.

OK.  Then either all of you are in the same boat regarding the Flash Player version or else there must be some issue with the content.

Try creating a new Blank project with just a couple of slides and a True and publishing to the same Flash Player version.  See if that also crashes your browser.  If it does then the issue is in your browser or Flash Player version.

If it doesn't then start hiding groups of slides in your current problem project and then republish each time to see if the issue disappears.  If it's something on one or more of the slides that is causing this then you should eventually be able to find it because a hidden slide doesn't get published in the output.
