Question

Onsite Training - Recommendations? Suggestions?

My team has just purchased Adobe Captivate and are excited to learn more about the product and dive deeper into the Advanced Training aspects. We have watched as many online videos as possible, but are looking for the best Onsite Training Program for 2-3 people to help meet and collaborate with other professionals using Captivate.

Anyone have suggestions on where they attended training? Pros & Cons of the facility and course?

Thank you both for your feedback!

I was indicating a public class at a training facility located within the US. I have looked into a few Adobe Training Partners such as Ascend Training, Future Media Concepts and Training Connection, etc. We are looking for more of a canned training to give us an overview of how to utilize the Captivate 8 program. When I refer to "Advanced", I am indicating that we already know how to utilize the basic tools of the program, but feel like we could be utilizing things like Buttons and HTML links better to help make more dynamic presentations.  From what I have seen of these canned trainings there are a series of "Basic" classes and Advanced classes.

If an onsite or online training is a better recommendation for learning the program I am open to feedback on options for those too! We just want to find the best method of training other than watching the short videos we have found on Youtube and or the Adobe website.

What do you mean by 'onsite training'? Do you want a 'canned' training or a training that will be tailored to your requirements?

There is a lot of basic training around, but the meaning of the word 'Advanced'  is not always the same for everyone.

Hi there

You need to use different terminology. I've been training Captivate for about ten years now.

On-site training is where an instructor travels to your location and uses your own classroom to facilitate the class.

Public classes occur at a training facility where your employees would travel to the class and attend along with God only knows how many others from other companies.

There is also a possible training that occurs virtually, where everyone meets via web conferencing software. You see each other's desktops and ask questions and get help the same as if you were physically in the same location. But it's via the web.

Cheers... Rick
