Opening CP1 files in CP4

I'm trying to open some older .cp files (Captivate 1 or 2, I'm not sure) in Captivate 4.  I get a dialog box saying it has to convert the file and to save as a new file.  I click OK, tell it where to save (a different folder than where the original is), and then nothing happens.  A new file isn't created.  Anyone have suggestions?  I've called Tech Support but I'm sick of waiting on the phone (already 1 hour on hold today and gave up after 2 hours on hold yesterday).

    Hi there

    If you still have CP1 installed, try opening it alongside CP4. Then try copying the slides from CP1 and pasting them to CP4.

    Hi Rick,

    Thanks for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, I don't have Captivate 1 installed

    Hi,

    I am almost convinced that this won't work... but try to import the slides and object from the CP1 file via File-Import.

    How big is the project anyway ?
