Opening Iphone calendar to post a calenadar entry from Captivate

Has anyone experience of how to post a calendar entry to an iPhone calendar from a mobile captivate module.  I have used an outlook generated .ics item linked to a button by URL, but iphone will not open it.  Any ideas/solutions?
