OT - What is your primary image/graphics creation tool?

I know this is off-topic but as an eLearning developer I have been using Fireworks almost exclusively for image and vector graphic creation over the past ~10 years, and it's time I start to look for an alternative. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be one : (

What do you use, and why? I know Photoshop is king but it's quite clunky compared to Fireworks. Illustrator is nice but is vector-only.
