Packaged & Language Learning Content Authoring

Hi Folks,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this : Are the packaged content creation organizations like Lynda.com and the Language learning Organizations like Duolingo, who do lot of in-house content creation, do they use same authoring tools such as Storyline, Captivate etc? Or they author their content using some home-grown tools? appreciate any input.
