Page viewed status not firing

Hello and good day

I'm creating a simple 6 page demo course where I have a homepage with two-state buttons which direct the learner to a specific page. When they return to the homepage after viewing each page, I want there to appear a checkmark graphic I created, indicating the visit to the page. I made the checkmark images so that they are not visible in output. From the homepage I created three variables, each set with a value of 0. I went to each of the three individual pages and set the variables to 0. Next, I created three advanced actions, each with values of 1, set to show the checkmark when the page is visited. But nothing is firing.

I'm also trying to unlock a button which looks fine in its normal default state, but when clicked, is locked into a position about 50 pixels to the right. There's a lock button on this state and I'm unable to remove it.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide on these.

This video tutorial explains how to do what you want:

Create a Dynamic Menu Slide in Adobe Captivate | Infosemantics Pty Ltd

This was created prior to Cp9 with it's new Object States feature, but the principles would still apply.

It would help if you told which version you are using? You talk about 'states', suspecting you are using Captivate 9?

Which event do you use to trigger the advanced action? Is it the On Enter event of the menu slide, or the Success event of the button that returns the user to the menu slide? Unless you want to do something else when all slides have been visited, you don't even need variables at all. If you are using Captivate 9 you could use a custom state for the buttons, that has the check mark, instead of Show/Hide the check mark. In the past, I posted a lot of times work flows for such a menu slide, but not yet for CP9. This is one of the use cases for CP8:

As for 'unlocking' the button, can you explain what you mean exactly? Are you talking about disable/enable that button?

    Hello

    Yes, I'm using Captivate 9.

Here's an illustration of the problem I'm having with the button placement in its rollover state...this has been happening with a few of the buttons I've designed for the course, but I think that whatever the solution is here will apply to the other buttons at issue,

Try resetting your Preferences folder and then replace the buttons with new ones.
