Question

Passed but didn't pass

I had a user take a course that required a certificate.  The certificate was added to the LMS with the condition that the user had to pass the course with an 80 for the certificate to open and then be printed.

User passed the course with an 88, but can't print because the course said he did not pass.  All the commands in the LMS are correct - double and triple checked. I saw on this forum that there could be issues with the matching questions and how they are scored.  Sounds like a plausible reason for what is happening.  One answer said to look at F9 - when I hit that I did see the Advanced Interaction window, but couldn't do anything with it. Looked at Quiz Preferences, Pass or Fail - everything looks fine in Quiz Preferences.  What am i missing?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

yes, I saw it in  the usage report of the LMS (below).  So, if the scoring is working correctly it is an LMS issue.  Thanks. Sometimes "talking" it out is all that's needed!

I will often ask to look at Advanced Interaction panel to check the Total score: is this what you expected? Sometimes interactive objects have a score as well, and it can be added to the total score. Where did you see the 88%? On the score slide?

To be totally sure it is something wrong in Captivate, did you try to upload to SCORM Cloud? If it reports correctly there, you are sure you have to look in the LMS settings, if not, something is wrong in Captivate.

Hi Lilybiri!  Thank you for responding.

I did put it through the scorm.  Just did it again.  According to that each question (25) is weighted equally at 10 points. No partial credit for the matching questions.

So three wrong would have given him an 88, which should have still been a passing grade.

Did you ever see the 88%? That was my question.  From your last answer I see that you supposed it to be 88%.   Is there a score slide where you see 88%?
