Pasting with Animation

I am pasting a small piece of information on my screen captures and then merging into the background. If my screen capture includes animation I am unable to paste. While the paste appears in the timeline I can't see it to place it on my screen capture. Help!

Hi Cindy and welcome to our community

So you aren't saying the paste doesn't work, you are saying that you are simply having a problem locating it after pasting, right?

Assuming you are referring to a slide with a full motion clip on it (you can tell this by looking at the slide in the filmstrip-it will have an image of a videocamera superimposed in the lower right area of the slide image) you should know that most of the time, when you paste an image on the slide from the clipboard, the object is inserted in the exact center of the slide. (unless, of course, you first copied the image from another slide-if you did this, the image should be pasted in the exact position it was located on the slide you copied from)

On slides with full motion animation clips, the image seems to be pasted in the upper left corner of the slide. So see if you can locate it in this area.

Hopefully this helps a bit... Rick

Hi, Similar question. We have pased an updated graphic to remove personal information and when we paste into the full motion recording to cover existing information it does seem to work however, during playback you can see it flash quickly the old information. Is there a way to hide the background in a full motion recording? Is there another editing tool we could use to edit Full motion recording? Thanks so much for the help.

Hi Turkovich and welcome to our community

If you double-click the graphic, you should see the properties. Click the Options tab. Now look at the field labeled "Effect". By default, images are set to "Fade in and out". You should try changing this to "No transition". Probably you are seeing a brief fade in.

Also, sorry, but there is currently no way to edit the full-motion clips. If you would like to add to the collective voice of others that would like to see this feature, please consider submitting a wishform at the link below:
