Patch for Adobe Captivate 6 (6.0.1.240) not working for Mac

I'm having trouble installing this update. It won't work from the Help>Updates menu in Captivate 6, nor will it work when I manually download the Mac update. When downloading from the Help menu, it simply says "Updates could not be applied." and to check the error log. The error log says "

Adobe Captivate 6.0.1 update

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." (I did quit and tried later - same thing).

When downloading the update manually, the disk image: Captivate-6-0-1-Update_upd.dmg, give a not recognizable message. I've even tried downloading it a second time - same thing. I'm running Mac OS 10.7.5. I'm at a loss - Any thoughts?

I was trying to download an update yesterday and was receiving an error as well. It turned out to be that the Adobe Application Manager needed to be updated first. Of course, it took a while before I came across this. Once I downloaded that, the update worked fine.

This shouldn't be the case if you download it directly but it could definitely be the issue if you are doing it from the help menu. FYI...I downloaded the Captivate update a while back without issue.

Thanks Dave! My Adobe Application Manager is all up to date. I even tried installing it again and still the same issue. I think it has to do with the patch itself. Are you on a Mac? I know a while ago the update was available for PC but wasn't ready for Mac. I'm experiencing several bugs in Cp6 and am eager for this patch to hopefully fix these bugs!! So bummed I can't install the update!!!

Yes, I'm on a Mac. I updated it the day the update came out through the Help>Updates menu. I know that doesn't help you out with your issue
