pausing a vide and the slide when the movie ends

My video is an mp4 file. My settings are:

Progressive Download Video and it has a skin so i can have control buttons.

My slide is set to pause till end of video.

If I select Auto Rewind option, when the movie ends, it just jumps back to the beginning. If I don't select this option, the movie disappears even though it is set to Display for the rest of the slide.

When the movie jumps back to beginning, I can either hit play (from the movie's skin) again or just move to the next slide with a click button that I inserted into the slide.

What I want to happen is, when the movie ends, I just want it to stay there. Because I have a little caption (inside the movie) that tells the user what to do next. But because the movie jumps back to start, the caption goes away.

Is there a way to achieve this?

    Do you mean that you inserted as event video, not as multislide synchronized video?

    Yes, I inserted it as event video. When I go with the other option, I don't have the ability to select a skin for the video. There are no control buttons. I want users to be able to hit play or pause or scrub the play head if they want to...

    Also, I notice that when I go with the other option the movie disappears at the end.

    Is there a way to pause both the video and the slide with the event video option?

    No, that is not possible because event video plays independently, is never controlled by the slide controls. That is the reason why you don't have to increase the slide duration to the length of the video.  The reverse is possible: if you use multislide video you can control both slide and video from Captivate.
