Pausing Text to Speech

I am using boxes to highlight various componants of an object. I need to place pauses (a couple of seconds would be fine) in the text to speech to allow for the highlighting to be seen before moving on to the next componant. I have tried adding spaces in the text, changing the commas to periods which helped a bit but not quite enough. Suggestions?

The first thing that comes to mind is to edit the audio created by Kate or Paul.  In the audio track, insert silence where you want a pause, for whatever length of time you need.

    Hope this helps.
