Pausing the recording of Video Demo in Cap8

Hello,

I have watched videos and gone through Adobe Help to figure out how to pause and resume the Video Demo capture process.

I have gone to Edit - Preferences - Keys and set various keys (F2, Pause, etc)  in the To Pause/Resume Recording field... to no avail.

As I monitor Cap8 in the system tray it displays the small red dot in the upper right corner when I activate the key in question but the video keeps on recording.

Is there another setting I'm missing?

There are many times I'd like to suspend the recording process to check a detail or maybe even clear my throat but am unable... frustrating... any suggestions appreciated.
