Question

PDF new reporting for Captivate 5.5 or only the eLearn Suite?

Have been waiting for enhanced PDF reporting facilities for quizzes, but it is not clear from the (very brief) videos whether this improved feature is specific to the Suite, or to Captivate 5.5 on its own.

What are the exact improvements in PDF reporting anyway - again, there is not much in the way of detail so far on the site.

Thanks

The reporting is exclusive to eLS 2.5. Basically it makes it possible to

report out your data from inside a published PDF. So you just setup your

publishing to LMS as you would for an HTML page, but publish as PDF, and the

new feature let's you reach right through the PDF cell membrane and report

    data.

A lot of people prefer to publish to pdf for it's ease of delivery, and

sometimes because they feel it's easier to take offline etc. (Of course the

learner would have to have access to the reporting LMS on some kind of

network for the reporting to function.)

    Hi Allen,

    Thanks for the speedy response.

So, am I right in thinking that people buying Captivate 5.5 (and 5) can output PDF quizzes (but they won't report to an LMS) but anyone with eLearning Suite 2.5 can output PDF quizzes that report to an LMS just fine?

Is this situation because of Flash Pro 5.5 being in eLearning Suite 5.5?  In short, I'm trying to work out what it is that actually 'solves' the Captivate-quiz-in-a-PDF-not-working issue.   Cell membranes sound fascinating!

    Thanks!
