Question

PDFs no longer viewing nicely in reader - anyone else?

CP8, windows, flash > 13, Adobe reader XI.

published cp file as PDFs not working/opening.

Being redirected and shown this info:

"You need Flash Player to view Flash content in PDFs, PDF Portfolios, and other features. Adobe Reader and Acrobat no longer include Flash Player and features that require Flash now leverage the machine’s local copy of Flash. This new strategy allows users and administrators to manage Flash Player updates independently of Acrobat product updates."

Anyone know what's going on?  This is a staple in my process.

Thx.

Lori

Lori, have a look at: Can't view PDFs created in Captivate 8

Since version X Flash player is no longer embedded in Adobe Reader. You need to install Flash player as well.

Lieve, are you able to clarify the Flash Player bit?

My reason for asking is because it comes in essentially two modes.

One is an ActiveX control you install for IE (while inside IE) and the other is a downloaded "Helper Object" that is used by firefox. I'm unsure what Google Chrome or Safari might use.

So if the reader is using the helper object and the user tries using IE, I could see where the ActiveX control would be updated and things would still fail

    Cheers... Rick

I never use IE but think there is something available to add to the Reader.

No longer at my desktop, just from memory and on phone.
