Hi need urgent help on this one guys & girls,

SYSTEM INFO:

  • Captivate 8.0.1
  • Installed Captivate Patch now running Captivate 8.0.1.242
  • Installed latest Photoshop CC 2015 as of 26.Nov.2015
  • Mac OS 10.10.2 (Yosemite)

ISSUE:

  • Need to get photoshop roundtripping to work with captivate 8
  • When a photoshop file is imported to the library and the layers are maintained the green 'status' icon does not appear
  • Also the library file cant be updated in anyway

Has anyone ever resolved this issue before or heard about it happening??

Thanks in advance.

Although both are Adobe applications, this happened so often: when a new version of Photoshop is released (in this case 2015) the roundtripping with Captivate is broken. I am on Windows, sorry, but I kept PS CC2014 along with PS CC2015 because roundtripping with Captivate 8 was broken (again). Only Captivate 9 roundtripping is functional with PS CC2015. The worst part is that for the first time CC2015 was deleting older versions without warning, you had to use the Advanced button in the installation dialog box to force keeping the previous version (which is totally legal for a subscription to have two versions!). That is not very user friendly, I don't know who is to blame, perhaps Adobe is just too big.
