picture-in-picture for software simulation

I would like to do picture-in-picture for a software simulation recording, so I can add large captions and relevant images. Something so the end result looks similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f0mrUZ0Ga8 . Is this possible?

Yes indeed. Definitely possible!

You would need the basic project type where it looks like PowerPoint. Then you would have video on each slide in a smaller area of the slide.

but that's if you have it in video, right? so...do i make the software simulation first, then publish it as a video, then breakup that video into smaller sections, then add those small sections in one-by-one?

i was hoping for a simpler way, where i could maintain the editing functionality of the software simulation.

If you only want a video, not an interactive simulation, why don't you use Video Demo instead? It has a PIP feature.
