Question

Playback control - back to start of current slide

Can anyone suggest a better option to the following in Captivate 4;

I want to enable the option to go back to the start of the current slide, not the previous slide via the playback contrl bar.

I have been using a suggested workaround - which is to insert a blank slide in-between each slide, with a display time set to 0.1 sec. The result is when the user clicks the "back" button on playback controls, they dont go back to previous slide, but to start of current slide.

Problem is, adding a blank slide in-between each slide is both time consuming and I cannt believe there is not a more formal/smarter way to do this - I cannt be the only person who wants to work with this, so find it strange it is not possible in Captivate 4.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Noel

    I've seen it asked before. You can do it via Advanced Actions if you are using Captivate 4. Even then, I'm not sure how you would accomplish it using the Playback Controls.

    Basically we need for you and others (many many others) to flood the Captivate development team with requestst to add in a feature that allows replaying the current slide.

    I say that because features emerge based on the number of requests they receive. The more requests, the higher the priority for the feature and the more likely it is we will see it at some future point.

    Cheers... Rick
