Question

Playbar

Hello,

We published our first project as a standalone .exe so our boss could review (she does not have Captivate on her machine). When the project is ran from the .exe the playbar does not show. We have the "Show Playback Control" selected under the skin link when we create the .exe. The playbar is displayed when we view the project under the Preview link.

It looks like the issue is defintely with Full Screen recording. We tried resizing and the playbar is visble. Unfortunately resizing is not an option for us. We may need to add Pause, Play, & Back Image buttons on all slides but we could not find any Pause buttons in the Captivate gallery.

Does anyone have any Pause Image buttons?

    Thanks

In the Skin properties, choose the second tab (Borders) and deselect Show
    Borders.

    Helps?

    Hi again

I just tested this using .EXE format and discovered that if I recorded in full screen mode, the playbar was indeed hidden from view, because it was pushed to an area that wasn't visible.

One way you might confirm this would be to click File > Save As... and save the movie to a different file name. Then click Project > Resize Project... and scale your project down a bit. I tried scaling 50% just to see it. Then publish your .EXE again and see if the controls are there.

I'm guessing you will see what I saw and this is what is happening.

    Cheers... Rick

Unfortunately not the case. The Playbar is set to be positioned at the bottom.

    Hi again

DratDurn! What version of Captivate are you using? 1, 2 or 3?

    And which playbar?

    Cheers... Rick

Hi Rhino299 and welcome to our community

May I ask a silly question? Does the .EXE possibly have a scroll bar on the right side and maybe the playback control is simply not visible and needs to be scrolled into view?

Never hurts to double-check the basics.
