Playbar not displaying v12.3.0.12

Hi all, am having difficulties getting the Playbar to consistently display. I have enabled it via both the Edit/Preferences/Project/Publish fields, and Window/Table of Contents...but when I preview it, sometimes it will display...and sometimes it won't. Does anybody else experience this or have some suggestions to fix please? Thanks in advance.

    Hmmmm this is a tough one without more information. Do you have the file that is being funky? Does it only happen in preview, or in published mode too?

    The only thing I can think of is an interaction setting- one that hides the playbar.
