Playbar showing when project placed on a site

Hi All,

I have successfully removed the playbar from my introductory slides on my project in Captivate 8. It only appears on simulation screens. The project has been placed on a site in order to be viewed by others.  When viewing the project from this site, the playbar appears even on the introductory slides from which it was removed from.  Any ideas on why that is?

Thanks!

Can you explain your work flow to 'remove' the playbar?

Sure. Thank you for your reply. I created an advanced action called PlaybarOff. I assigned it with the cpCmndShowPlaybar and gave it a value of 0. I also created another advanced action called PlaybarOn and assigned it wth the same command, but this time used the value of 1. I assigned them to the slides accordingly under Actions by executing advanced action on enter.

OK, I see. You didn't even have to use an advanced action in CP8, you have the simple commands 'Hide Playbar' and 'Show Playbar' in the dropdown list in the Actions tab as well for the On Enter action of slides.

What happens sometimes is that the On Enter action of a first slide is not executed immediately when the project starts. Maybe if you change to simple actions, it will work, maybe not. If not, try this cheating: insert a short first slide (0.1sec) before the 'real first slide where you want the playbar to disappear. Hope one of those two workarounds will do it.
