Question

Please help - a beginner with Captivate!

Hi everyone

I'm very new to e-learning and to Captivate so forgive my ignorance in asking for help with these questions but I need some help (non-tech language preferred)

I want to create an e-learning program for my students (about 30 in total) who will be accessing the program over the next couple of months.

  • If I buy Captivate 9 and create a program, how do I send it to them? Can I email it to them all or could they access it from a blog?
  • Do I need a special licence in order for it to be shared, or is my download of the program enough?
  • How can I review their learning and progress on this e-learning program?

Thanks in advance for your help - I really appreciate it!

Anna

    Hello Anna,

    Welcome to Adobe Forums!

Adobe Captivate only allows you to create the content . If you want to share it with other users or get review based on their performance you will have to post it on any LMS.

Adobe Captivate also allows you to publish as mp4 and .exe format which you can send it easily as an attachment to the users but using that you will not be able to track the results of the users.

Adobe has just introduced a Learning Management System (LMS) which you can try which is available for a 30 days trial.

    Wow,

Thank you SO much Himanshu for such a quick and clear response. I really appreciate it.

I’m having a lot of trouble trying to download it at the moment. This is what is coming up:

Any ideas of how to get it to load properly?

You can insert Captivate published courses also on a website. I have some examples on my blog, those were SWF files, but including HTML5 published files is possible as well. You can have a look at:

It is also possible to create a stand-alone app, using PhoneGap.

If you explained what you want to create, maybe more tips would be possible.
