Possible to have free-form text entry boxes that pass their content to LMS?

Is it possible to have text entry boxes in Captivate were you type in a free form answer that is not validated, to an LMS so that this information can be stored?

We want to capture a learner's thoughts, in their own words, on what they have just learned in the preceding slides.

    Both Text Entry Boxes and the Scrolling Text Interaction have associated variables. Depending on the LMS (not all support it) those variables can be transferred.
