Powerpoint to Captivate 9 to ?? published format

Hello All,

I'm a low volume powerpoint user and new captivate user, so please forgive me if I'm using incorrect terminology.

First, my problem is that the majority of my powerpoint (PP) generated animations ("simple" bullet transitions fade in/out etc) are NOT appearing in Captivate 9 (C9) published forms.  They will show in individual slide preview but NOT in any other preview mode or published versions.

My process:

- As instructed I built out the main body of the presentation into powerpoint.

- In C9 I created "new" presentation from powerpoint with high fidelity import

- I recorded narration audio in C9 (individual slide) and edited individual slide in PP so animations would appear/disappear as needed

- Where needed I also placed rollover captions (only C9 object I used)

I've done some searching here and it seems as if PP animations are not compatible with numerous published forms of C9 projects.  Is there a surefire way to get these animations to display 100% of the time all the time?

You're NOT going to want to hear this but...if you want animations to have the best chance of working Captivate, then forget about starting your projects in PowerPoint and just build them from scratch in Captivate, animating them there.

You are correct that most PowerPoint animations don't survive the transition into Captivate.  And even the ones that DO become a pain to modify at all down the track.
