Question

Preloader blue outline issue in Safari

When I publish a file to html5, there is a preloader issue only for Safari users.

Upon first load, there is a play button with a blue outline around it   (see screenshot) .       This behavior does not exist when the same file is opened in Chrome.

I must click this button to move forward with the training. But I already have a "start" button page, so Safari users have to click two pages of this in order to start the training.

The training works as expected in Chrome, with only one "start" page.

Does anyone know if there is a setting in Captivate to adjust for this behavior?

Thank you,

Phil

I know Apple doesn't like AutoPlay. That is why I often turn it off for

all. Blue box is the selection box for a shape in HTML, you can turn it

off. But I see it often appear even when turned off, in CP2017.

    Hi Lilybiri,

Thank you for the quick response! When you say I can turn off the selection box - is that in Safari or Captivate?

I already have the "hide selection rectangle..." option checked in Captivate. I also tried publishing with both autoplay checked and unchecked and the same issue persists.

I wonder if this is a high sierra issue. I have the latest hot fix installed, though, which makes my version 10.0.0.244.

That is the option I meant in Captivate 'Hide Selection Rectangle'. I always turn it off, but when you watch one of my interactive movies on a desktop/laptop in Chrome, the blue rectangle appears on some systems. This didn't happen in CP9. Have a look at:

    Captivate'sTimeline

It is published as a rescalable HTML project, with AutoPlay turned off and Hide Selection Rectangle checked off. You'll see the recatngle.
