Presenter [10] has encountered an unexpected error working with this file....

I have installed a trial of Adobe Presenter 10 and whenever I try to "Publish", I get the error message:  "Adobe Presenter has encountered an unexpected error working with this file...."  I have tried all the tips I've found in this forum, including reinstalling (multiple times), made sure the "Presenter view" checkbox is not selected, fixed the COM add-in, etc.  Nothing has helped.  I am using Presenter 10 on a Windows 8.1 laptop using MS Office PowerPoint 2010.  I would appreciate any suggestions.  Thank you.
