Presenter Video Express 11 (64-bit) and Windows 8.1 not allowing recording

Question

I've installed on a fresh Lenovo ThinkPad, with Win 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit, PVE 64 bit.While I have access to camera, PVE crashes when I choose Record.What should I check to allow PVE to run properly?Message was edited by: Matt Sullivan
Oops, I edited to reflect actual OS is Win 8.1.

Also, already tried installing/reinstalling cam driver from Lenovo. No luck.

Hi Matt,Sorry to hear about this.Are you trying to use the 'Make my background awesome' feature before you start a recording? We are seeing issues where this feature is crashing on clicking Record - possibly introduced by a Windows update.While a fix is planned in an upcoming update, you can workaround this issue by doing a normal recording without 'Make my background awesome' and then enable the feature in the editor by clicking on the 'magic wand' icon.Let us know if this helped solve your issue.Thank you,Renzil DSouzaPVX Team
