Pressing Enter stops published EXE from Captivate 5

Hi all

I have been having a problem with files that have been published to an EXE file using Captivate 5.

The presentations themselves start ok, but if the user presses the Enter (or Return) key at any point, then the presentation stops completely.

It seems to behave the same way if run on a machine with Captivate installed or on a different machine.  It also has no effect where the file is run from (Network or Local drive)

I have searched the forums and there appears to be a couple of suggestions, notably those at the following addresses

http://forums.adobe.com/message/3282397#3282397

and

http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2010/08/unable-to-open-exe-files-published-from-adobe-captivate-5.html

(The latter post appears to be more to do with EXE files that do not run at all though, which isn't the case in this particular scenario).

However, there does not appear to be a resolved issue.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance

Stephen

    Hello Stephan,

Did you try installing the latest patch for Captivate 5 from http://www.adobe.com/support/captivate/downloads.html? The blog post which was addressing the EXE not opening issue also has the fix for the issue you are referring. If installing the patch doesn't help, please mail me at viswanat@adobe.com and will investigate it further.

    Thanks,

    Vish
