Pretest failing to trigger failed sections

Question

I am working on a project that requires a pretest that contain 3 sections of questions. The outcome of the pretest will then need to highlight the section(s) of the course that the user needs to attempt based on incorrect responses. So far I am stuck at a point where a user is redirected to the menu page with all the links active and none of them have been highlighted regardless of passing or failing the quiz. I was wondering if anyone can help advise me on how to tackle this or signpost me to a tutorial/discussion that covers this issue.

Need a lot more information. Which version are you using, as mentioned under Help, About Captivate?

You talk about 'Pretest questions, but are you really using the Pretest questions which can be inserted from the Quiz menu? If yes, are you aware of the fact that all navigation will be disabled in htat case? What is the Pretest advanced action, can you show a screenshot of its Preview?

If you are using normal questions, can you also show a screenshot of the advanced action used to 'highlight'?
