Preview and Publish to HTML5 / Output looks fuzzy

Good morning,

I noticed that the output, specifically the font, looks somehow not crystal clear and sharp when previewing or publishing a project to html5 compared to when i.e. previewing a project in Browser. The Quality is set to High for all slides, so that cannot be the issue.

Should I be using one of the Typekit fonts rather than Calibri that I am using right now?

Thanks

Have you set HTML to scalable at publish time? Display in HTML is clearer if output is NOT scalable.

Thank you very much for your answer, Dan. Indeed, I had set HTML to scalable at publish time.

I have re-tested without scaling and now the Font/Logo etc. look crystal clear.

That brings up the next question though: what is the use of scalable if the output is fuzzy? It most certainly doesn't look the way it should right now. What am I missing?

I am looking forward to hearing from you and will do some testing with Typekit in the meantime to see if that makes the difference.

Glad to help!  I don't know the technical reason why the scalable option is not as clear as nonscalable, but I can only assume that some interpolation of the png image of the text block to allow it to resize causes the problem. However, when viewed on tiny screens, like phones, the fuzziness is not so apparent. Larger screens do look fuzzy with scalable HTML.
