Question

Previewing Responsive Design in IE11

Hello,

The Preview window will not open whenever I try to use it with a responsive design module. I am using Captivate 2017 with IE 11. The preview feature works fine with older, desktop modules. Does anyone know a solution?

Thank you.

Which version of Captivate are you using: 8, 9 or 2017?

If you are on 2017, which workflow did you use for the responsive project: Fluid Boxes or Breakpoint Views.

When using Preview methods for responsive projects, a temporary HTML output will be created and should open in your default browser. Did you try another browser than IE11? Contrary to SWF output, which is possible for non-responsive projects, Preview for HTML projects is not guaranteed to work WYSIWYG at all, depending on the content. You should try different browsers.

Hello Lilybiri, and thank you for responding. Please forgive the lateness of this response.

I am using Captivate 2017. I am not sure how to view anything in Preview for IE11 or any other browser. If you provide direction, I can try Chrome but my organization primarily uses IE11 so I would need to insure the e-learning will work in that environment.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. When in Windows 7, I had no problem. In fact, I opened a different response design module I completed prior to the Windows upgrade and I could not preview that work. When I created it, I had no problems with previewing it in the older version of Windows.

Is there a setting I can adjust in Captivate 2017 and/or Windows 10 that will resolve my problem?

Thank you.
