Problem launching Adobe Captivate

Hi,
I just downloaded the trial version of Adove Captivate. I want to try the app to see if it has any useful features for my projects. I already have a full Creative Cloud subscription and have no problem installing programs. But as far as Captivate is concerned, I can't seem to launch the product. The installation was successful but when I try to launch the program, it freezes on the loading screen and stays that way until I force close the program.
Can anyone help me?
The only thing I can report is that during the installation I removed the flag on the installation of Adobe Media Encoder because I already have the AME version of the Creative Cloud package.
Thank you.

The fact that you mention "force close" leads me to believe you are a Mac OS user.  And since you are finding Captivate will not open that suggests you are on a recent Mac OS version such as Big Sur or Monterey.

The version of Captivate that is available for trial download is not normally the very latest version of the app with all patches for known issues.

If you are on a recent Mac OS, then you really need to be on Captivate 2019 version 11.8.

You can download 11.8 from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/au/captivate/release-note/adobe-captivate-11-8-release-notes.html

You will need to completely uninstall the older version before installing this one.

Hi Rodward,
no, I actually use Windows 10 pro.

Installation workflow is not the same as for the CC apps.

First question: which OS do you use exactly?

It is best to open the CC app when launching Captivate, because Captivate has access to Adobe fonts.

If you are on Windows, try to launch Captivate with the feature 'Run as Administrator'.

Lilybiri thanks for the quick response.
I am using Windows 10 Pro.
I tried opening Captivate with CC running but nothing.
Same thing launching Captivate as administrator.
Nothing.
I will try installing Captivate on my notebook and see what happens.
Clearly I am open to any further advice.
Thanks a lot

Looks like a conflict with something, always difficult to find the cause.

It almost seems to freeze in the loading phase.
Maybe it can't find the elements it needs and so it gets stuck there.
