Problem with "Duplicate Slide"

Hello all,
I am working with Captivate 2019 (11.5.5.676, english version), on the MAC and have the problem that duplicating a slide takes up to 5 minutes. Also copying and pasting a slide.
Is there anyone here who can help me with this?
Best regards
Ralf

Mac users helping other Mac users are rare on this forum. Sorry, but I am a Windows user.

    Couple of suggestions/Questions:

    • I hope you are not yet upgraded to Monterey, because your version is not compatible. For individual licenses you should wait for version 11.8 which is already available for business licenses.
    • Does your documents path point to a folder on your system, not on a networked drive as may be the case with roaming profiles in a company.? Captivate's projects need to be on your system while editing.

    Hello Lilybiri,
thank you very much for your answer.
I prefer stable systems, so (God forbid :-)) I did not switch to Monterey.
All set paths refer to my direct user folder on my hard drive.
Do I understand you correctly that these problems do NOT exist on a Win basis?
    Best regards Ralf

The only time we usually see any similar problem to yours on a Windows box would be where the Captivate developer's PC is set up to have a roaming profile or some similar virtualised user profile that does not reside on their PC.  That can lead to situations where the Project Cache folder and the original CPTX file being worked on are not accessed locally and the result can be very poor performance.

Mac computers are a totally different beast, but similar in respect to the need for all files being worked on to be local, not on some remote server. If you have verified that this is the case with your own computer, and it is not underpowered or lacking in RAM or hard drive speed, then there must be something else that is preventing Captivate from being able to work as intended.
