Problems with button shortcuts

Hi all.

I am creating this captivate e-learning module where the user selects something and has to copy it by pressing CTRL+C and then CTRL+V.

I have tried to simulate this on one screen where the user clicks on something to select it and then goes to the next screen where

I have a transparent button and I have set the shortcut to CTRL+C in the properties window by pressing these exact keys. However when I

test and publish this by pressing CTRL+C it does not work and go to the next screen.

I have even tried this by just setting the shortcut to C and it still does not work!

Any ideas!

Thanks in advance.

The problem may relate to switching screens between the object being presented and the copy action...

But, I'd question the instructional value, in 2015, of building a complex simulation for 'copy and paste.'

Are you really teaching the user to 'copy and paste,' or is this part of a larger instructional objective?

Also, is the application you're attempting to simulate limited to keyboard shortcuts?

Is there a menu available, or icons to click, for completing the task?

You may wish to demonstrate flexibility in the approach by having the user click a graphic representing the keyboard sequence for CTRL-C, or showing a menu / icon approach.

    Hi,

Which version of Captivate are you using? Is it a responsive project? Are you publishing to SWF or HTML5?

Can you also mention which browser you are using to test?

    Thanks,
