Problems with Captivate 2017 in HTML5

Hi,

I am facing huge problems with Captivate 2017 when previewing the project in HTML5. The same occurs in HTML5 published projects. Only thing I can see is a spinning wheel. I have red the earlier discussions, but no help. I can preview no-responsive projects with "preview in browser" but if I publish the project in HTML5 I can only see the spinning wheel. I can't preview responsive projects at all. The preview does not work.

This started last week. I am using MAC High Sierra. This issue is now so severe that it is stopping my work. I can publish in SWF and HTML5 but most of the customers are not allowing to use Flash.

I did also test the Captivate 9 version and it has the same issues. This did not happen earlier.

Any ideas? Customers are now willing to move to Lectora.

I am using CP2017 on two Win10 systems. Can you explain what you mean by

‘unzip it....’? Did you download from the Adobe site and run the installer?

Hi Harri,

We have a new build that will fix the below issue with Captivate 2017 and Mac High Sierra.

Please follow the below steps to install the new build:

  • Uninstall the current build of Adobe Captivate 2017 from your system. (Go to: /Application/Adobe Captivate/Uninstall. Make sure to check “Remove Preferences” from the uninstall screen).
  • Download the new build from the below link:
  • Now run: Captivate_2017_LS21.dmg file to begin the installation.
  • Once installed check the issue again.

Regards,

Mayank

This is already posted in another forum. Here's the hotfix: https://forums.adobe.com/message/10140782#10140782

Sure, but it is possible that the files are no longer in the Dropbox.

Captivate 2017 is not compatible with High Sierra. You have to install a hotfix, will try to get someone to contact you.
