Problems with changing timing for typing

I am trying to increase the speed of keystrokes by decreasing the timing of the typing object. On my PC I can't do this, it just won't allow me to change the length. But on a colleague's PC accessing the same Captivate project it works fine. I have uninstalled and re-installed Captivate but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Hi there! Welcome aboard the user2user forums for Captivate.

Sounds like it could be a matter of not being able to "grab" where you want. Try this:

1) Open the project and go to Edit mode for the slide containing the typing object. Be sure the timeline is visible ...

2) Next, "click on" the typing object on the timeline, to "focus" on that object only.

3) Finally, on your keyboard, hold down the SHIFT key (to anchor the object at the left-end), and ...

4) ... use the left or right ARROW keys to make the objects' time on the timeline longer or shorter.

That should get you sorted. Let us know.
