Problems with PowerPoint Import

I have used Captivate, but I have never imported PowerPoint until now.

In editing mode I see this

But when I preview I see this.

And this happens for every slide.

Is it worth importing PowerPoint?  I have done several Captivate modules over the past few years, so I am comfortable just rebuilding it.

Thanks.

I never use PPT, would recommend to start from scratch in CP. It looks like a resolution issue: sure that the size of the PPT is the same as the CP project?

Thanks for the responses.  Since I have not imported PowerPoint before I wasn't sure what to expect.  I can certainly build it in Captivate.

I'd also recommend just building it. Depending on the complexity and length of the PPT, it's a fairly quick process to copy/paste the images and text from the PPT to the CP slides (as long as you don't mind a lot of 'clipboard...' items in your library). I just tried a rather detailed PPT import into CP9, just to see if the process had gotten any better. Well, it's better than earlier versions but still flawed. For example, likely similar to your piece, the PPT had a supplied PPT diagram that just would not come over properly aligned - no matter how many adjustments I made to its appearance, shape, etc, in PPT itself.

Plus, just the hassle of having to make updates in PPT and wait for a resync is annoying enough in itself!

PPT is a great storyboard tool but I'd almost never import it into CP. Rebuilding in CP offers so much more control and ease.
